Performance with a human face

Heart disease can affect anyone. But thanks to cardiac device pioneer St. Jude Medical, many of those live to triumph over their illness. In the 2004 "Free To Be" annual report —Larsen's 12th for St. Jude Medical —Larsen focused on the aspirations of such survivors. Seven recipients of St. Jude Medical's products appear in black-and-white photographs. Next to each individual is an image of the product that saved his or her life, making a personally persuasive case for 21st century medical ingenuity.
