Microsoft "Meet the Designers" Poster

Putting the designer's mind on display

Microsoft needed a way to educate, inform, and excite its employees about a new software launch aimed at the designer market. The goal was to help the sales force understand graphic designers as customers. This project presented two unique challenges: Microsoft wanted a poster and it had to include an immense amount of information about designers. Larsen's solution was to create an oversized, two-sided poster featuring dramatic human silhouettes representing designers. One side was black with intriguing thought bubbles related to design concerns. The reverse side, which was revealed after two weeks on display, featured a colorful array of facts, figures, and customer survey data important to the sales force.
