But with the launch of nFusion Technology, Starkey leaped ahead of competitors to provide the most cutting-edge products on the market. Larsen's task was to let audiologists know about the change: not only would Starkey meet their service needs, the company now offered the top hearing system and a proven record of improving patient outcomes. Larsen developed a series of direct mail pieces focusing on the various components of nFusion Technology — such as feedback erasure and directional hearing — and packaged them with informational DVDs. The result: buzz that built rapidly and hundreds of new customers for Starkey.
