Larsen Expands Writing Department
Minneapolis | February 11, 2005
Larsen, the largest and longest established strategic communications design firm in Minnesota, has added two full-time writers, Diane Richard and Brian Beatty, to its writing department.
Richard brings 15 years of experience as a copywriter, reporter and marketing professional. Richard's award-winning work includes the radio news documentary "Spirit & Body Willing," which aired on Chicago Public Radio, and she is the recipient of a 2004 Edward R. Murrow Award. Richard has been published in HOW magazine, Architecture Minnesota and Star Tribune. She received a bachelor of arts degree in English from Smith College, and a master's of art degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota.
Beatty has more than 14 years of professional writing experience. His freelance work has appeared in numerous local and national publications, such as Seventeen, Publisher's Weekly, Minnesota Monthly, and Star Tribune. He has won several awards, including a 2002 Summit Creative Award. Beatty completed his bachelor of arts degree in English literature at Indiana State University and received a master of fine arts degree in creative writing from Bowling Green State University.

Clients include Microsoft, the new Minneapolis Public Library, Applied Materials, Regis Corporation, Piper Jaffray, Deluxe, 3M, and Medtronic. Larsen has a staff of 50 and offices in Minneapolis and the San Francisco Bay Area.
