Larsen Design + Interactive Receives Quality of Life Award from the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce

Minneapolis | February 28, 2003

Larsen Design + Interactive, a branding, graphic design, and interactive media firm, is named a recipient of the Quality of Life Award for its donation of pro bono services to Poetry In Motion - a national literacy program.

Larsen partnered with the Poetry Society of America and Metro Transit to bring the Poetry In Motion program to the Twin Cities - serving as the 15th U.S. location of this initiative. Larsen donated pro bono dollars, matched by volunteered employee time and talent, for the design and production of 12 poem posters. A rotation of three of the 12 posters will appear in buses each quarter through 2003. The impact Larsen has made is recognized across the Twin Cities as thousands of people ride with Metro Transit daily.

Larsen has always been a strong advocate for design in society. The Poetry In Motion project is a testament to the Larsen corporate culture, which embraces a spirit of generosity and a profound belief that high quality design can positively impact the urban environment and enhance the community in which we live and work.

Larsen, along with Thrivent Financial, Lindquist & Vennum, P.L.L.P, Jean Thorne, Inc., EDS, and Star Tribune, will be recognized at the Quality of Life Award dinner on March 18 at the Hilton Minneapolis hotel. Since 1991, the Chamber has annually presented its Quality of Life Award as a way of recognizing the role businesses play in enhancing the region’s quality of life.

Larsen, founded in 1975, is a strategic marketing and communications design firm with offices in Minneapolis and Menlo Park, California.
