John Barta

A certified public accountant with over 30 years of experience, John’s conservative approach helps keep Larsen financially strong — and his ethical sensibilities safeguard the firm’s high standards of integrity.

Prior to joining Larsen in 1998, John spent 15 years as Larsen’s outside consultant and accountant. During that time he owned and worked as a partner in a local CPA firm, where he gained valuable experience heading up the practice area dedicated to freelancers and established firms within the creative field.

In addition to serving on the finance committee for the Minnesota chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He received his undergraduate degree from Saint John’s University and obtained his CPA license shortly thereafter.

Although no longer an active CPA in public accounting, John makes it a priority to stay current on the accounting, tax, and ethical regulations affecting Larsen and its clients.
